Each year, schools choose students to exchange with a foreign school under a scholarship. That is the case for Panther High and Osaka High. Hideki Aoki is elected from his school in Japan because of his excellent English grades. Carla Reyes is elected from her school as an honor student. They are to exchange schools for a semester starting January and ending March. Hideki has no problem fitting into his environment. Carla on the other hand does. While Hide has had time learning English, Carla had no idea she was going to be exchanged until a month prior. She was unprepared. However, this also gives Carla a new start. Despite not knowing the language or culture well, Carla can finally express herself in Japan as a new person. Readers, meet Zenjiro.
