I stand stunned. This is the first time he's spoken to me since I got here, not how I imagined it. "We were just watching some movies." I say looking at him. Studying his distorted appearance.

He just lets out a dark laugh as he takes a step closer. "So little Melody just pops back into everyone's life and now we all play happy families huh?"

"Nathan, I know you're upset with me." I say softly trying to calm him down.

"You're damn right I am." He spits as he walks to me, backing me into the kitchen counter. The alcohol on his breath fans my face.

"Nate, you're drunk. You need to go to bed." I say as I try to push him back, but he barely moves an inch.

"10 years Melody." He mumbles under his breath. "10 fucking years and you didn't even call!" His voice raises before he pushes himself off me and begins to pace.

"N-Nate I didn't- it wasn't my choice." I stutter out. My heart in my throat.

"Don't give me that bullshit Melody." He scrunches his face up as he turns to me. "If you wanted to see me you would've made the effort! I called you. Every fucking day I called, and text you! Wondering where the fuck my best friend went."

------------------------------------------

Nathan and Melody grew up best friends. Nothing would beat them or tear them apart. Until, Melody had to move away. Without even a goodbye.

10 years down the line and she's back. But the wounds are still fresh for some...so will she be forgiven? Will she be welcomed back into their lives?

Or is their once unbreakable bond, forever tarnished?
