The Forbidden Lands have never been successfully explored. Every team ever sent in has mysteriously disappeared, and no one can explain why. Tales and legends vary from beasts to sorcerors, to gods ruling the lands. 
A prophecy has foretold that the only party capable of coming back alive must consist of a warrior, a scholar, a thief, and a king. Only this combination holds the possibility of survival. Yet, hundreds of four-person parties have attempted this; none have succeeded.
