Aila Merritt's dream of going to college has finally come true, but so do other realities. Leaving her life back home has been quite a struggle and making new friends isn't as easy as it seems.

However, Aila isn't all alone, she has her cousin, Cash there with her. Experiencing the college lifestyle with Cash has both its perks and disadvantages. With his party animal ways, he's bound to drag Aila to a couple of them. But Aila isn't about that lifestyle. With all-new territory, Aila can't help but feel like a fish out of water.

Ezra Henderson is a sucker for attention. His need to be in the light at all times does him no justice and is essentially a call for trouble.

When Aila and Ezra's paths cross, she soon realizes that Ezra isn't the type of person that she wants to associate with. But the universe thinks otherwise. It seems almost impossible to go anywhere without him being there.

With Ezra's inconsistent behavior and constant mood swings, it's hard to keep up with him. And when things take an unexpected turn, it leaves Aila in a difficult situation and with a choice she never thought she'd to make.
