School just ended and 15-year-old, Kayla Lake, was so looking forward to going to Disney with her family. All in just one night, she had the most traumatizing things happen in her family. In the middle of the night, while sleeping in her bed peacefully, she woke up to the sound of screaming and evil laughter. She was too tired to go check out what happened so she went back to sleep thinking it was just her baby sister.
The next morning came and the sun shined bright in the sky. Kayla woke up and was excited to tell her parents that she had the best school year in her entire life. When she came out of her room, no one was up. She thought it was unusual because her family is always usually up before her when there's no school. She went to her siblings' rooms and no one was there. When she went to her parents' room, she was horrified at what she was looking at.
She saw her parents laying on their bed with all of the kids under them looking like her parents were trying to protect my siblings. She saw stab wounds on her parents and siblings. She had no idea who would have done it to her family. She needed answers. She called the police and told them what she saw. When the police got there, they asked Kayla questions of how this happened. Kayla told them that she heard screaming but figured it was her youngest sister because she was hungry.
After the questions, they took her to the police station where she was escorted to New York so she could live with her grandmother.
