Lonnie finds an old board game: Shacrony. She invites her friends Mal, Ben, Jay, Evie, Doug, Carlos, Jane, Audrey, and Chad to play the game with her. They all choose a character. But something very unexpected happens: they get sucked into the game.

Evie lands in the middle of the Ruby Forest. She runs deeper into the forest. Evie finds a blue ball of magic dust with golden streaks. She hears it whispering. 'Jane?'
