A deadly virus hits New York, quickly spreading across the country, killing millions of people. Rylan Fens is one of the only people to survive, and leader of a rag-tag group of survivors. The catch? She's the oldest in the group. Double catch? She's only 16. When one of the kids in her groups starts to read her thoughts, and another can move things with his mind, she realizes that this virus may have done more to the world than they first thought. As she battles to keep the group she leads safe, and find a cure, sacrifice is inevitable. The world as she knew it has changed, and Rylan as the world knew her has changed too.
