This is my imagining of how the world, and the characters, of My Hero Academia change after All Might's retirement. There will be a few major differences such as the rate at which Deku acquires new abilities, how he uses them, and the effect and weight of being the successor to All Might has on him.
Parts of the souce material that will remain intact here include, the Provisional License arc (mostly) and the Overhaul arc (again, mostly). Post Cultural Fuestival is where most of my changes start to show up but some changes will be made. As a result of most things for a while staying similar though, time-skips will probably happen here but I will always leave a warning before they do!

I started the original on 26 December 2022 but, for various reasons, I chose to rewrite it. Yagi Kita has always looked up to her father, All Might, and wanted to be just like him when she goes pro. So when he told her that he inherited his quirk, she began training. Building her body into a vessel strong enough to handle One For All. Kita was certain her father would pick her to be his successor, because there was no way he'd pick someone else over her. But what happens when All Might does just that? Bakugo Katsuki knew that he was powerful, the day he got his quirk. He was going to be the #1 hero when he goes pro, no matter what it took. He thought he'd never need to be saved, so he ditched the 'extras' and stepped on those 'weaker' than him. Then came that day. The day he would need to be saved.
