No ordinary girl
A swim gone wrong causes my twin sister to begin to fear the water. She barely even touches it. I went missing when it happened, everyone thinks I drowned, and died. I did drown, or rather I started to, but then a bright light shown down on me during a full moon and turned me into a mermaid, one drop and 10 secs later a tail. I love it! I've always wanted to be a mermaid, our little sister was barely just born, I didn't know how to face my family, so I guess I just have lived in the ocean. I have all the girls powers, this was no accident, this is fate. This is amazing!

The girl, who found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, experienced a stroke of misfortune. Following this incident, she was drawn into a world completely foreign to her, where she struggled to adapt to her new life. I was face to face with death. I knew it. I hadn't even realized when his hand had grasped mine. Fear overshadowed all my senses. But after what felt like an eternity, I finally felt my wrist. He was gripping it so tightly that blood could no longer flow to my hand. As I lowered my head to look at the hand clutching my wrist, he used his other hand to grab my chin, turning my face toward his. Then, he pressed his lips to mine. I stood frozen for a moment. Then, I let myself go. For a fleeting instant, he seemed to let himself go too. And then, just like that, he was gone. In an instant, he had vanished. The hand gripping my wrist, the lips pressing against mine-gone. And I was left standing there, completely stunned. It felt as though I had forgotten my own name. I started to tremble. My legs gave out beneath me, and I collapsed to the ground. Sitting there, shaking in shock, I finally understood what he was.

My name is Skylar Smith, On a normal walk back home from a friends house, a storm hits. I get sucked down into a whirlpool and I come out with fins. Now each passing day I'm becoming more mermaid than human. Later, when I'm almost fully mermaid, the REAL mermaids want me to stay in the ocean forever with them. I have to stay away from the real mermaids and I can't let people know. I have to avoid water the best I can. I have to find a way to reverse the curse before time runs out.... There is a school, and at this special one of its kind school, once every couple of years, every student who is a purple of said school ends up swapping rambly with another student getting younger or older, becoming a different gender or staying the same gender. We will be following Alix who, is a 16 year old boy with ok mostly everything, not good-looking or ugly, just in the middle, mostly a normal person who is going to become someone different, to say at least and will have to deal with his younger brother and best friends become completely different body.
