Then the text showed up.
Maria's mom and dad have been divorced for ten years now. 
So when Maria checked her phone she wasn't expecting to read what it said.
The next night while Maria was walking home from the mall with one of her best friends, she got abducted. Only Maria and her friend know who abducted her.
There's only one problem.
While Maria got abducted, her abducter ran over her friend in a panic.

"Well I'm having one of those days" I push off from the ground so that I'm now swinging.
