Sham Kaushal was considered in a little town called Mirzapur close to Tanda in Punjab, India. He did his Post graduation in English writing from Govt. school, Hoshiarpur in Punjab. The life from his local Punjab town to Mumbai was exclusively for survival with no expectation or aspiration in movies. His first employment as a sales representativeonly for a year and then he understood his interests was elsewhere.
From a very small place to a great and famous stunt director, Mr Sham Kaushal has progressed significantly in his 27 years in his career. He has the prestigious Oscar winning motion picture Slumdog Millionare alongside Hindi super hits like Dangal, Bajirao Mastani, Krrish 2 and 3, Bajrangi Bhaijan, Gangs of Wasseypur, Dhoom 3, Ram Leela, Raajneeti, Phantom, Kaminey, Om Shanti Om, Gundey, Ishaqzaade and practical Films like Blackfriday, Parzania, 1971, A Wednesday and Apart from numerous prestigious award, he has got four Filmfare Awards, most extreme Action Director. Sham Kaushal first film as an Action director was a Malayalam motion picture called 'Indrajalam' coordinated by Mr Thampy Kannamthanam which featured Malayalam genius Mohanlal. This was followed by 'Prahaar' coordinated by veteran on-screen character Nana Patekar. The sensible and action activity scenes got him saw in the film industry. He won the best new action award honor for the motion picture.
