The light in the girl's eyes was fading. The townspeople watched in sorrow as their Clara lost her smiles. "Nothing beautiful lasts forever..." She would answer to anyone curious as to why.

The girl weeped at the edge of the cliff. "It can end" she told herself shakily. Her father would never forgive her. She tightly shut her eyes and moved forward, only to be grabbed by who she thought was her father. "Let me be free!" She screeched once again succumbing to tears.

The man grabbed her by her shoulders. "I'm not insane" she whispered. "Let me save you" he told her. She didn't know why she trusted this stranger but she jerkily nodded her head. "I don't want to d-die" she fearfully told him. "I won't let you dear. Take my hand so we can bring Clara back" he held out his hand for her and she held it with all her life. "T-thank you" she softly told him. Maybe he could save her.

"Tell me your story" he softly asked. Her heart ached as she began but it was a story worth hearing.
