"So are you gay or just an art student?" "Wha- um...I..." Carol stammered, taken aback by Valkyrie's words. "OK, cool. See you then." She said with a smirk as she started to leave the room. Carol stood awkwardly not knowing what to say. "For the record, you set my gaydar off the moment I saw you." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Valkyrie took art to fill her spare course at college. She had little interest in the subject but half way through the year she realised it was the best decision she'd made in a long time. Carol was the only one who encouraged her to become a professional football player, but she also had her own dreams. Ones she was keeping a secret. Highest rankings: #1 valcarol #2 brunnhilde #3 art student #4 americanfootball

Mella Fujisaki's father had one goal when he built Valkyrie Academy: to train her and seven other children to fight supernatural forces of evil. But attacks from a mysterious man with dark abilities leaves one member powerless, Mella's father and sister dead, and the academy a pile of ash. The event forces the surviving members to go their separate ways. Ten years later, Mella has finished rebuilding the academy. When she receives news that the enemy will return, she gathers her former classmates to stop him. The problem? Their powers don't work the way they used to, if at all. The solution? Teach eight new teenagers, dismissed as failures or rejects, to control their powers and become the heroes they were meant to be. As she reconnects with her ex girlfriend Natalie and helps positively impact their students, Mella finally feels as if she can move forward. But a secret of one of the students might just rip everything good away from her once again. CWs will be updated, as of Part 1-3: violence, grief, parent death, child/sibling death, foster parent rejection/abandonment, alcohol, discussions of past parental abuse, bullying & bad experiences with teachers.
