Xavier is a junior at Oakdale High. A school for the most privileged of students. But Xavier's life isn't a bed of roses. At home his real father isn't around. He is physically and verbally abused by his stepfather and stepsister. His school life sucks. He can only afford to go because his dad pays for it. All the kids tease and harass him because of the secret he let slip a few years ago. A secret that drove away his only friend.
But then one day while on vacation with his "family" he stumbles upon a girl. She's nice and doesn't treat Xavier like the monster everyone says he is. But that's only because this girl is tied to his secret.
Will this messy friendship become something more? And what is Xavier's big secret. read to find out.
