Ever since the Cleansing, mages lived in fear, afraid that the Civility would capture them and numb their powers. Many tried to run and escape to the opposite extremist side, The Mages Above All Else Society, but often failed. Few still live in hiding, biding their time to strike back against both groups, and find peace. However, things are not always as they seem, and there is more to the world than just Mages and mortals. Jase is ripped away from his somewhat ordinary life, and given the chance to finally be accepted for what he is, if he chooses to fight for it.

(May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet... Non-canon ships are not implied but take it as you wish, just not greenflame because no.
