Adelaide had been captured in the telmarine dungeon for over 17 years after leading a rebellion, with only doctor Cornelius visiting her. 
The night Miraz is given a son, Adelaide is freed and escapes the castle with Prince Caspian. Together they flee to the woods where they find the narnians but also find something they didn't expect from eachother.
