Ashante, a young woman in her Mid 20's, copes with the struggles of growing up in the streets of NYC. The daughter of the cities biggest, most ruthless drug dealer, who was killed in a car crash along with her mother when she was 17, (and also the neighborhood's Princess), works endlessly as a Nurse to help have a better life for her and her grandmother Jackie. Her childhood sweetheart and life long friend Erik, who grew to follow in her fathers footsteps, always wanted more for himself but the street was never far behind, ready to pull him back in when it wanted him. When the two finally decide to stop fighting destiny and rekindle the love that never left, they figure out the only way to truly be happy and free is with each other.
