When 20-year-old Cassie finally accepts the fact that her life is going to be like a gentle breeze, it suddenly changes into a hurricane.

Cassie, a college student who lives and works in a coffee shop in order to pay for her living, is hunted by nightmares filled with disturbing images, merging reality and imagination into one big blur.
With her mother being consumed by memories of her missing husband and the feeling of omnipresent loss, she tries to cope with her past. She feels like the only way out of the labyrinth is a pair of pale green eyes, guiding her through the darkness in her dreams.

No matter how hard she tries, she cannot put the pieces together, until she gets a visit from a boy, who awakens some long lost memories inside of her.
When she gets dragged into his plans, Cassie not only has to decide between temptation and conscientiousness, right and wrong, but also if she is able to stay away from her dark side.
Soon she realizes, that her nightmares have connected reality and imagination and that the malicious shadows of her dreams are ready to step into the light.
