I watched the blood overflow off the bed. I fell to my knees, dropping the Butcher's knife. I layed on my side in the pile of blood. I rolled around in it getting all bloody. I chuckled.I made blood angels. Sirens, Red and Blue lights shined through the windows. what will happend next

'Who turned off the lights' 'Why does my head hurt '. I grimace in pain as I try to open my eyes. At first every thing is blurry but it soon starts to clear up and - 'Wow! Is this heaven? Am I dead' I wondered as I stared in complete awe at the blonde blue -eyed angel in front of me. "Hey! You're awake" ~What! Leaving me dazed and confused, the angel rushes off calling out to something or someone, I'm not quite sure. I try to focus on the sound of her voice but the ringing in my ear coupled with the pain makes it impossible. 'Wait! I know that voice. Isn't that -' ARRRGGGHH! A mind numbing pain hits me as I begin to recall fragments of memories. My scream seems to have attracted the attention of the angel who runs back to me muttering words that I cannot hear, but it seems this time she is not alone. I feel myself slipping slowly back into unconsciousness as I take one last look at the blonde angel. "You - you saved me" I believe that it was at this moment I promised myself I would protect Esmeralda - no matter what!

'I turned around and saw a creeper standing directly behind me, tilting his head to take a bite of my neck. It's breath was putrid, their crooked teeth stained orange from the feeding of animals. I grabbed my knife out of my boot and sliced it's throat. It stumbled back and came at me again. I poised the knife in my hand and forced it into its bloodshot eye. I was taking a late night stroll through my neighborhood. I felt the cold wind blowing lightly in my face as I put the hood to my jacket over my head. I stop walking to take my phone out my small backpack that I carried with me and checked the time, 12:06am. My phone dies as I look at the time. "I should start heading home, it's getting really late" I say as I put my phone back into my bag. I look up to see a group of 5 guys who happen to be from my school. 'Oh shit', I thought to myself. These guys always caused me trouble before school was out. I started walking the other way to avoid them noticing me but just as I started walking away, "Oh look guys, it's that girl. Y/N" "Fuck" I said under my breath. I turned around facing them, "Hey guys, I was just going. I'll be on my way now" I say nervously. The one in the middle was named Liam the others were named Chris, Jacob, Jake, and Asher. I guess you could say that Liam is the "leader" of the group because they do whatever he says and seem a bit afraid of him. As I turned around to start walking again I felt a grab and pull on my arm. A fiery like pain struck the part of my arm that was grabbed. "Ow fuck-" I was turned around to see Liam up close to me. He pushed me up against the gate that was blocking out the forest. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Another is my brother, seven years old, blond tousled hair, he is also wearing something nice. Then I find three pairs of new eyes. One a women who has blonde curly hair, a female child also with the same hair, and then a highly attractive male who looks about my age. Seventeen. Malia is just like any other girl, goes to school, has friends, and makes new friends. This "highly attractive" male is her new neighbor. What happens when they begin talking? There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.)
