All these short stories are from a challenge book called "Write the Story" by Piccadilly Inc. In each page of this book they provide you a set of 10 words you must use in your short story along with a story line they throw at you. I will continue all these pages to make a full story for them all to connect and continue to have the same person(s) in each. I'm in the process of giving this novel a title since I'm still in the process of writing it as well and unsure as to where it would lead to, so please bear with me.  Words italicized are the words needed to be used in the story and chapter. Enjoy and search "Write the Story" book for more information. (WIP = Work In Progress).

This is my challenge to myself to get better and more consistent at writing daily. Rules I will upload a part to a story every day. Some stories will be shorter than others and some may continue over multiple days, but I will upload everyday, no matter the quality. Consistency over perfection. Important Some might be good, some might be horrible. Good thing I'm doing this for me and not for you. I'd be grateful for any feedback though, I have a lot to learn.

My body pressed tightly to his as he pressed me back to the softness of bed. Waves of heat sprawl in my spine as he bite down lightly on my neck. But instead of pain I felt... Fuck. What I'm doing? Just one word and he will be gone. My just one order and a bullet will be in his head. I could have him killed right here, on the spot. But do I really want to?

He found it lying around and wondered what could go wrong. He didn't recognise the handwriting but he knew he instantly fell in love with it. Then it began. The assault of words on his life. He couldn't believe a word she wrote but somehow he did. He knew more about her than anyone else but he knew so little about who she was... It was maddening. How someone could have such an impact on you without having a single conversation with you. Her precious words tortured his existence, they drowned him in misery, created a black hole of words around him, gave him everything he needed to live. Made him fall in love. Gave him a world of his own. Made him believe in rainbows, unicorns, coffee, the basis of happiness, the meaning of every sunrise, the mystery of every deep ocean, she made him human. He knew he had to find her. He had to find out who she was. He had given him all the clues he needed but none of them were enough to prepare him for who she was. But sometimes... The journey is more important than the destination. Sometimes, the journey is the destination. A book full of stolen pages and a boy full of curiosity. Tabitha and her mother think they have found themselves the perfect place to live: an extremely affordable mansion in a small town far away from Tabitha's father, a monster of a human being. However, if something seems too perfect to be true, it probably is. Tabitha meets a strange boy named Elias, a boy she finds hanging around on the mansion grounds. That's when Tabitha's life becomes rather peculiar, and she is forced into discovering some things she may have been better off never knowing. Our protagonist is thrown into a world of self discovery: a completely new world she never thought could really exist; a place where she must face her greatest fears, and unearth the bravery she never knew she had. Filled with terror, trying to muster unknown courage and motivated by the strength of young, fresh love and goodwill, Tabitha embarks on a journey like no other. But will her decision to save others put her own life in danger? (A paranormal novel with aspects of romance, violence, murder and time travel. Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014) by emmernemmer

This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.
