Albus Potter and his cousin Rose Weasley head to Hogwarts for their first year. He is sorted into Slytherin House, surprising the entire magical community. He befriends some Slytherin students in his year to the disappointment of his brother and cousins.

Along with new friendships, he makes enemies, such as Vincent Goyle, Abner McLaggen and Zacharias Smith Jr, who have dedicated themselves to tormenting Albus and his friends.

What will his parents think when he befriends the children of their past nemeses and how will Albus convince them that his new friends aren't stereotypical pure-blood bullies?
