High School is stressful, living up to parental expectations, dealing with idiots, deciding your future, homework. It just kinda sucks. So, how could you relieve some stress? Forget about that stuff for just a couple hours? Well, parties usually work.
Unless you're a football player and a slightly goth looking guy, then well, it's a little more stressful, especially if the entire school gets pictures of you two making out.

When Nico di Angelo and Jason Grace have a ruff Friday night with a Saturday in the hospital they come back on Monday morning to find out that someone had taken photos of the entire party, and had sent the pictures to the entire school. And that a lot of pictures can be stuffed into one's locker.
