When Briella Mason moves in with her aunt and uncle after a tragic event strikes her parents she struggles with coping. She goes to the new school, makes the new friends, and goes on with her new life. But she can't let go of the past and feels that justice has yet to be served, and the eerie feeling in the pit of her stomach will stay until she is. Even though Briella strives to be invisible, Oliver Jordan sees her. He's the man others want to be, the man every girl wants, and the biggest bad boy at Weston High School. Despite all the women that want him, he has never given anyone the time of day. With Lacrosse, he has no time for distractions. However, when a certain girl walks into town and his life he can't seem to get past the haunted look in her eyes despite the smile she wears. Oliver won't stop to catch her attention, but Briella wants nothing to do with Mr. Popular. When tables turn will Briella fall for Oliver? Or will she run for the hills? What about when Oliver finds about what happens to Briella's parents?
