Alison Rye is normal. She hangs out with her twin brother, tries keeping her family from starving in District 12. And then she's reaped for the 58 Hunger Games. As if that doesn't suck enough, her brother, Benjamin, volunteers as the boy tribute to try to protect her. Before she knows it she's thrown into the world of The Hunger Games, with one goal: keep her brother alive. But then things change. The boy from District 7, Jax, starts noticing her- and becomes her ally. Told from the point of view of Alison, Benjamin, and Jax, nothing is stable in the world of The Hunger Games.

*Caution this is the sequel to The First Annual Hunger Games so read that first :)* Aldera Clearwater has made it through the year after her games and the Second Annual Hunger Games is about to begin. She is forced back into the Capitol where she now must hide the romance that's growing between herself and an avox and act as if her nightmares aren't driving her insane. On top of that she must mentor the new tributes, but can she really help them survive? And when the Capitol proves to be just as much of a minefield as the games, will she be able to survive herself? *The idea of the Hunger Games belongs to Suzanne Collins, but all characters, plots, and other attributes of this story belong to me.*
