"Come on, come on!" She screamed through clenched teeth.
Jumping over fences and weaving through alley ways, she ran. She ran faster than she thought she could ever run, her lungs heaving harsh air in and out of her throat. She slid down the wet pavement on her heels and cut a corner, pushing her thin frame through a short alley way. The edges of the two buildings brushed up against her shoulders and ripped away parts of clothing but she couldn't afford to slow down.
Gripping her tattered bag tightly, she pushed on. Knowing she had to lose them before she got to the edge of the woods or she'd be done for. Cursing and grunting from the pain under her breath as her skin started to peal from the harsh scraping of the concrete closing in beside her, she snapped back into focus. She was met by a wall at the end of the alley. She had to think fast.
Sucking in a harsh breath, she picked up her pace as she grew closer to the wall, and jumped. The air clawed at her thrift to be released but she held it captive. Barely catching the top of the rotten wooden boards, she forced her frail arms to pull her weight. Letting out a low growl, she pulled herself up onto the top of the fence, she was so close. Just one more jump.
She braced herself gripping her bag tightly over her shoulder. She pushed herself closer to the edge, bending down to launch herself as far forward as possible-
Bang.
...
And down she went.

Even the way back home was the same. But something felt off. Like something was missing. She thought of her dream. She barely remembered anything. All that she remembered was a man in a fedora. She took the turn and stared at the big wall. Her heart started to beat fast. She was sure there was a graffiti on that wall. It was gone. She asked the first person she saw on the street if there once was a graffiti there. The answer was no. Maby it was some other wall. What a weird day, she thought.
