This short story is about struggle, we are all slaves to a generation that bounds us to unethical and discouraging thoughts. A whirlpool of circumstances that come in the most lavish disguises, only to reveal themselves when it it too late to walk away.
Vanessa definitely understands as it seem that her idea of love came cascading in and swept her off of her feet, and soon buried all her confidence in the ground.
