Sarah Porter is the daughter of Mary Porter, an accused Salem witch. Sarah and her mother come from a long line of witches who are nothing short of powerful. Their family coven has always respectfully practiced magic and have never drawn any attention to their practices and rituals. This all changes due to the witch frenzy in 1692. When their family friend Rebecca Nurse is found guilty of witchcraft and is sentenced to death, Sarah and her mother attempt to flee Salem. Their attempts are proven futile and they are both taken to be executed. As they begin the execution, Sarah's mother casts a spell which is meant to send her daughter as far away from Salem as possible. The spell not only sends Sarah away from her mother in actuality it sends her all the way to Salem in 2019. Once Sarah realizes what has happened, she confides in the town's local witch Isabelle Beauchamp to help her and decides to enroll in the witchcraft history class taught at Salem University so she can learn what happened with the trials and what happened to her mother and family. While studying at the university Sarah befriends Nathan, who is later revealed to be a descendant of Ann Putnam the woman who accused her mother of witchcraft. To make matters worse, unbeknownst to Sarah, her professor Dr. Abigail Malcolm has a vendetta against her and is determined to seek revenge against Sarah and her family.Alle Rechte vorbehalten
