Fortune favours the brave.  

Boris Johnson is PM, the UK has left the EU; rather unceremoniously.  Queen Elizabeth 2nd dies and Charles ascends to the throne.  With so much upheaval the UK is in turmoil, one ambitious manipulator  sees this as an opportunity for personal advancement not the unification of the nation.

Lara observes these events from her unique position on the sidelines until it becomes clear that not all is fair in British politics.  Liz  is excited as she starts her new job but reality soon takes its toll.
