Having made a name for herself in the online gaming community she feels like she finally has it all figured out...until one day when she begins to see rpg style gaming updates in the real world. Is she going crazy...or is this the beginning of her first real adventure...

Usually, being the new kid at school means that you are awkwardly introduced every period, and catching up on all the work. It doesn't usually involved a knife wielding redhead saving you from more knife wielding maniacs, right? The battleground lines aren't clear, and the only people who know how to stop it are, of course, only human. This story is my NaNoWriMo 2019 Novel. This is book one in the Disillusionment series. It would be easy for Evita to forget about where the gun came from and let her life return to normal, but its mysterious appearance won't stop nagging at her. When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.

. About 50 years ago, society began accepting regression. More research was done, and tests were then created and perfected to identify regressors and possible caregivers, along with matching them up and creating places spesifically for them. Daycares, playgrounds, hospital units. Everything was safe and accepting, from a legal standpoint at least. Jake was a regular college student. He played soccer, he went to his classes, he partied every other weekend, and he shared his dorm with his best friend, Mason. They both took the test at once, knowing what they'd likely be, but.. they weren't correct. Or even close. Now Jake's stuck with 3 caregivers, struggling to accept that he's a regressor, and having to adjust to his entire life changing in front of him without him having much of a say in it. At least he can still go into engineering like he wanted, right? Or is that being taken away from him too?
