A young, orphan boy by the name, Otori Ryoma, finds himself on a dangerous journey in attempt to make it to the academy. His journey begins early as the Empire Knights attack and burn the village to the ground, finding a magical stone called the "Violet Moon". After her parents were murdered in the village, Otori chooses to protect his childhood friend, Scarlett, as he takes his journey.
Who will they meet along their journey and what secrets will they find about themselves that chooses their destiny?

They find the villagers slain before meeting Sango, who wished to kill Inuyasha who she believed killed her village. After seeing the truth, the group continues their journey to find Naraku and Chiyo crosses paths with the long foreseen true love that Reiki predicted that she'd meet one day, southern wolf demon tribe leader, Koga.
