There are these few people in the world.
You meet them and it just clicks.
Suddenly you have this one person who supports you and gets into trouble with you.
For me this one special person was Lara Danes. A seventeen year old, who stood at five feet two and couldn't help but break the rules. Getting into trouble was nothing special for her. But there was something about her, it was just impossible to hold a grudge against her.
And then there was me, Julia Blake. Another seventeen year old girl, appearing to be your typical Miss goody two-shoes. But just like TNT and fire, when Lara and I met, we exploded. Not necessarily in a bad way, but let's just say... Maybe it wasn't the healthiest kind of match.

Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either.
