Ignominy is a novella inspired by true events.

Who is the ugliest girl at Winterfall Middle School? To everyone, it's Marlon Lawrence - a 13-year-old with big glasses, long coal-black hair, and clothes that never seemed to fit in. She lives with a drunkard father and a double-minded aunt, carrying a world of pain behind her quiet eyes.

Then there's Friar Williams, the 13-year-old popular boy everyone admires. He has the looks, the charm - and a secret. Deep down, he has a crush on the girl everyone mocks.

As time passes, Friar dares to befriend "ugly Marlon" and gives her a first kiss that could change everything. But with cruel bullies circling and her spirit fading, will love be enough to stop Marlon from taking her own life?

Featured on New Beginnings in Romance Picks Anthology at Romance Recognised in 6x Awards - What do you do when your heart pulls you in two different directions? Hi, my name is Olivia Meyer, and I'm a seventeen-year-old girl who has a little confession: falling for Freddie Hutchinson, the school's infamous 'bad boy,' was never part of the plan. I've always been perfectly fine with my low-key life. Books over parties? Check. Silence over drama? Double-check. Honestly, I'm just trying to survive high school with my best friend, Tom McKenzie, by my side since he's the only person who's ever really seen me. But then I got paired with Freddie for a class project. Freddie Hutchinson, with his leather jacket, sharp smirk, and reputation darker than my coffee order. We've never spoken a word to each other before now, but suddenly, I'm seeing sides of him no one else seems to notice. Like the kind-hearted boy hiding beneath the tough exterior. And now my carefully crafted world is starting to crack. Alicia James, the queen bee of high school politics, isn't happy about the Status Quo changing and Tom... well, let's just say he's acting weird. Like, jealous kind of weird. The worst part? I think I might actually like Freddie. Like, love him. You read it right: love him. But if I choose him, I could lose everything else I care about. So, what do I do? Follow my heart, or stick to the plan? Either way, I have a feeling my senior year is about to get way more complicated than ever. Wish me luck. XO Olivia Copyright © 2024 by Alina Bryne

She thought she'd left him behind. But some stories don't end - they just begin again. Just when Mia believes she's finally turning the page on her past, a handwritten letter from Grayson shatters her fragile peace and pulls her right back into the chaos she tried to escape. Now faced with a life-altering decision - walk away for good, or risk everything for one last chance at the love that changed her - Mia must confront the truth about what she wants, and what it might cost her to have it. In this gripping conclusion to the Shadows and Stars trilogy, hearts will break, secrets will unravel, and Mia will discover whether love can really conquer the darkness - or if some endings were always written in the stars. Passion. Betrayal. Redemption. This is the final chapter. ⚠️ WARNING - This novel contains mature and violent graphic content, and also elements of drug use.
