"Darling, you just got saved by a pirate."

"You know, I got captured by one too."

"Yes, but I'm a pirate, and here I am saving you."

Being captured by pirates was not on Anne Rachels's bucket list, but there she was. That was until Captain Christopher Taylor saved her. Planning only to raid the ship and leave, the charming pirate took her with him for a ride on the wild side.

From stealing to pretending to be his wife, what more of an adventure could Anne have? But there's a problem. With storybook adventures, come unexpected twists - twists that could change the whole story.

"I didn't want a fight." I look down in my lap sadly, "That's one of the reasons why I didn't want to tell you." Chris walks over and sits next to me. He puts an arm around my body, pulling me closer to him. He kisses the top of my head. I feel like it's my fault. Small tears escape the corner of my eyes. "Stop it." Chris says to me in a soft but commanding voice "Stop crying, Beautiful. Stop crying." "It's all my fault." I sniff, "Now you lost all your friends because of me. That's not what I wanted! It's unfair to you, Baby!" Chris gives me that look again. The look that a parent gives their child when their child explains why they took their car keys, because they thought they would never se their parents again. THAT look. His face goes soft and he holds me tenderly in his arms. He brushes the hair out of my face, his fingertips lingering on my skin. Then I realize that this is my moment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katie Morgan has always been an awkward and very shy girl. Due to overprotective parents, she hasn't had her first kiss, her first boyfriend, and definitely not her first time. Now that Katie has gotten out into the world, she meets an older guy in his late 30's named Christopher "Chris" Eaton. Her beauty and doll like face makes him want her. But when things end up in the bedroom, Katie realizes she's still not ready to have sex. How will Chris react? What happens after that terrible, awkward date? It may just be a fairytale. Venture to Uncertainty (#1) by tarishannon18

It's a deadly plan, and it goes like this: First, become a crew member of the Avourienne, a pirate ship notorious for its charismatic captain and wicked ways. Second, trick the ship's cunning strategist, famous for winning every game she's ever played, into believing a delicately spun lie. Third, get close enough to their tyrant king to put a knife through him. Deadly doesn't quite describe such a plan. In fact, inconceivable may be the better word. But Archer Kingsley has a knack for such things, and he feels he's going to pull off this plan with the ease he does most everything. Perhaps he's not quite aware of the absolute hell that's about to break loose, but truthfully, it's so much better that way. Because true adventures are born from uncertainty. * Cover by xxsoteria Mature themes you may encounter in this book: - harsh language (it's a pirate book) - violence (it's a pirate book) - sexual implications (it's a PIRATE book) However, this story does not violate any of Wattpad's mature guidelines and therefore is not marked as such. "So, let me get this straight. You stomped all over his paperwork?" She started. "Not intentionally, but yes," I confirmed it. "Threw a drink in his face?" She added. "Expensive red wine." I described. "Rammed into his car with yours deliberately?" she counted on her third finger. "Um...I'm not proud of that one," I said cringing. "And called him offensive names?" She ended the list and I winced. "Twice." I specified. "And you're still alive?" She blinked, looking genuinely surprised. "Geez, don't be dramatic or anything..." I frowned at her hyperbolic statement. "Maybe he's keeping you around to get revenge." She suggested. Possible. I wouldn't put it past him. "I didn't know alright!" I exclaimed. "Let's hope that excuse is acceptable.." She was merely amused. "Working with my new boss is going to be a piece of work." ** Synopsis: When the CEO of Signature Heights: Jensen Black, and a stubborn employee: Alexandra Brook, clash, it's a battle of wits & a war of perseverance. Wattys shortlist 2021 "I'm already loving this story" - _singforjoy_ "You are going to get me what I want," Isla said, calmly. "Or I will kill you." The words hung in the air between them. Raif looked unconcerned. "Is that so?" he said. Born to the captain of a pirate ship, Isla has spent her whole life at sea. Raised among sailors, her father has trained her to fight, command a crew, and, most importantly, the secrets of the ocean currents. When her father is killed in a storm, she is forced to step into his role as captain. Not only does she have to provide for the men on her ship, but she also inherits her father's outstanding debt to Lord Sutherland: the task of stealing the rare Serpent's Eye emerald. After months of failure to locate the emerald, Isla is forced to take extreme measures: she kidnaps Duke Raif Sayers, who knows of the emerald's location. But Raif proves to be more strong willed and stubborn than Isla expected. Matters become even more complicated when Raif's father offers a large reward for his son's rescue and suddenly every cutthroat is looking for Raif and the pirate who kidnapped him. Story 1 of Pirates of the Caribbean Jessica Williams is a well profound pirate herself, her name is known to most places on land and sea. Along her life she got herself into a pickle with Davy Jones and he nearly killed her..Tia Dorma nursed her back to health in exchange for her beating heart. Jessica didn't understand at the time, but Tia said she would only give the heart back once it heals and Jessica could "properly utilize it" whatever the hell that meant.. Until then Tia would out a spell on Jessica. She couldn't die or age properly (very slowed aging process, only ages every 3 years) until something in Jessica stirred that cold heart of hers..read to see more!
