Filled with zero knowledge of this different land they aren't used to. Who are they truly,and,why were they sent there especially without any memory?

When your kingdom is invaded your father sends you to Mirkwood to get help. There you meet Thranduil and his son Legolas. Thranduil sends you back with a small army and Legolas. You two quickly become friends as your feelings grow you try to hide them as you are worried he doesn't feel the same way. They were all powerful factions but then one day a Great War had happened between all of the factions. It was bloody, chaotic and destructive the Kingdom of Elvon died and crumble to the ground and the brothers are the last ones alive. Will they live or die? Will they make the war worse or end it?
