I stared into his eyes wondering how the hell someone like him would ever pick someone like me.
After staring for quite some time he finally breaks our intense stare by drifting his gaze down to the floor then back up at me.
Reaching his hand up, he places his hand on my cheek rubbing the pad of his thumb against my skin."I don't know what you are scared of, but whatever it is all you have to know is that I love you" He smiles a little then takes a deep breathe. "And I will always pick you rather than her any day"
And of course I believed every word he spoke, so as an instinct my lips curved up into a goofy smile and I leaned forward capturing his lips with mine.
Never in my life I have ever been so damn gullible.

I cupped her face in my hands, rubbing my thumbs in circles over her cheeks. She was having trouble finding words to describe what she felt, and I could relate.
