The small town of Little Leaf isn't known for much, aside from their beautiful setting, the small town surrounded by thick woods. Gossip and a close knit community were what the town has to offer, really. Though, the town soon finds itself in the middle of a war. Not between humans, but something much more dangerous.
Jackie and Katelyn find a man out in the woods, two large wings attached to his back. From that point on, they are thrown into a world that was just under their noses the whole time.

He takes the brunt of the fall, rolling under me so that my face does not brush the street, but the force of the impact knocks me out of his arms and I skid across the asphalt into the grass. The car speeds past, flying down the road before disappearing on a turn. I wait in agony until my lungs finally work, and then I roll onto my back and gasp for air. "Are you okay?" They need to gather all the little angels from earth and return them to Heaven before the news reporters discover the truth. And he must do it without being seen by his mother. Haley is the first one to convince. Meanwhile, on Earth, Alice (Todd's mother) has the daunting task of learning how to live without a part of her heart.
