"Lia, it was always meant to be you and me. I belong to you, and you belong to me-it's the only way the world could ever make sense." Lia lives in the quiet, unassuming town of Haven, Rhode Island, a place so small that it seems like time itself has forgotten it. With a population barely scraping 1,000, Haven is the kind of town where everyone knows everyone and where nothing ever changes. It's the sort of place where whispers travel faster than the wind, and the smallest quirks cement people's reputations. For Lia, her quirk is her tendency to drift off into daydreams, a habit that's earned her the reputation of being "A freak" among her peers. To the outside world, her faraway stares and moments of distraction are simply signs of an overactive imagination. But for the past ten years, Lia's nights have been haunted by vivid dreams of a boy she's never met. At first, they were fleeting, a shadowy figure in the distance or a voice she couldn't quite place. But as the years passed, the dreams became more detailed, more vibrant. She could see the sharp lines of his jaw, the intensity in his eyes, the way his voice seemed to carry a strange sense of familiarity. And yet, every time she woke up, the memory of him slipped through her fingers, leaving behind only fragments. Her life takes a sudden, wild turn the day she discovers the impossible truth: the boy from her dreams is real. Lia must confront the possibility that her dreams hold the key, one that could change everything she thought she knew about herself, her town, the world, and the boy she thought existed only in her mind.
