Alice moved from the big smoke to a small, country town to live with her grandparents when she was orphaned at age 12, with her pop passing away shortly after. Always a shy and introverted girl, she didn't make many friends except for Warren, the goofy boy next door. Alice never traveled far, but always had big dreams of seeing the world. Years later as her nan lays on her deathbed she encourages Alice to explore, to "get out and live a little". So Alice puts her life on hold and sets off on a gap year around Australia.
With each new adventure and experience Alice learns more about herself and what she wants out of life. And even though different lovers may come and go Alice learns to love life, herself, and the beautiful country she calls home.
