Hanta Sero is a student in the hero course, class 1A, of UA High and a proud member of the Bakusquad. His friends would describe him as a happy-go-lucky, bouncy, and lovable guy. He wouldn't though. You see, Sero has a mental illness called depression. this means that he suffers from self-esteem issues, suicidal thoughts, and self-doubt. His friends help him with this and so do some of his classmates, as does his parents and his therapist.
Tenya Iida can be described as a rule following, slightly stuck-up, but overall caring guy. His friends, the Dekusquad, can agree with this and see him as a older brother figure. The only thing he suffers from is the great dislike of people sitting on desks. His older brother, Tensei, is his only emotional outlet, which causes a bottling up of emotions.
As you can tell, these two boys are very different and live in two completely different worlds. They may go to school together, but they are complete opposites. What happens when these two opposite start to drift towards each other? When one gets feelings for the other end is too shy to say, and the other one is too proud of himself to admit that he likes someone of the same gender? What happens when their families get in the way of their love? Will a tragedy that happens in one of their families affects both their friendship, relationship, and lives?
Will Tenya ever get the guts to confess to Hanta? Will Sero ever gain the self-esteem to admit to himself that Iida really does like him and it's not a hoax? We can only hope so.
