What had he done? Why had he let her persuade him to let her come too? It’s amazing how many times she’d got the better of him. For a kid Lucy was surprisingly intelligent, that’s why it was good to have her on his side rather than the opposition. At home it was normally him and Lucy against Mum and Dad. So maybe it’s a good thing she’s coming too, at least that way he won’t be lonely...
