Pelagus is many things. An arcanist, an adventurer, the only person to have ever been banned from being a pirate by the pirate king. But one of the things she's not is a storyteller. So why she was chosen to replace the village storyteller is beyond her.
Now she's hunting down the original storyteller to get them to take the job back so she can get back to killing slimes, gathering plants and minerals, and completing quests. But on the journey, she uncovers something much more sinister

ORIGINAL (This story is actually/sorta is based off from in real life but not really. Fiction-Fantasy-Romance, however you guys want to call it.) Cayenne, main character of this story, (also in her POV) starts dreaming in a land called Dream and about these creatures called Dreamers with one power each. When she realized she has been kidnapped by the Dreamers, she was selected to become the new Queen of Dream. Someone has called her name and she disappeared from Dream. Cayenne woke up by her friends yelling at her saying she has 'vanished'. After telling what happened, they quickly searched up the Land Of Dream. It said only if Infinity and Energy joins together, they can create the same pathway that was there from the human world to the dream world. Without knowing, bad Dreamers came inside her house and kidnapped her friends. 8 of the bad Dreamers, were unlucky and was killed by Cayenne's magical powers. To Cayenne's shock, humans were not supposed to have such powers; she was the legend the website said, Infinity. Some of her friends were left and the Royal Dreamers came for the search party. Who started this war and will she get her friends back and find Energy to create the pathway connecting to the human world and the Dream world? Esme had one big fear in life: being captured as a thief by the city's guardsmen and being executed for her crimes, and that so heavily weighed on her mind that she increased her risks by being distracted in the middle of a heist. That's when she runs into Althalos Fourthborn: Inner Circle Guardsman, one of the many princes of the realm, an Aelif (Dark Elf, local dialect)...and her betrothed by treaty. (That was something her almost human mind could not handle.) So she calls off the heist, gets demoted into a far more risky job, learns the true bitter depth of what this treaty's bond is like, and lands safely by her prince's side....sort of. There were people who still wanted to end her life, even if she was in what most people would call a Happily Ever After. That and her prince had his own living fears that were gnawing at any chance they had. That and she might just lose her mind from everyday boredom.
