17 years has passed since Dracula's dream of a European conquest crumbled. Upon his death, his armies scattered to the four winds, the power and fear once held by vampires and lycans had become greatly diminished. Across the four European kingdoms common vampires are tolerated at best among the humans, for now. Bounties sprung up after the war leading to a massive hunt for Dracula's loyalists, vampires and lycans alike. Although the troubles across the territories has died down a nameless threat once thought wiped out to extinction long ago lurks in the dark, poised to strike out at any moment.
17 years has passed since that fateful night Rain had come into the world, a scar that has marked her, something vampires never get. It had been 2 years since she ran away from her coven and hired on the band of vampires who call themselves Bloodlet, bounty hunters, and began hunting down former loyalists of Dracula. She's so close now. Hopefully the last name to cross off her kill list. Soon she hopes to find Dracula's killer, but nothing is as it seems.
This is meant to be a four book series and is a extraordinary unique read that combines everything you love about vampires and werewolves of old with twists of new. War between the vampires and the kingdoms that surround them, romance, a ragged band of vampire bounty hunters and their bond to one another, secrets and betrayals, the mystery behind Dracula and Rain's origins. Everyone has heard of the classic stereotypical vampire love store. Powerful figurehead vampire male becomes attracted to young human female. At first they aren't attracted but as time goes on, they begin to fall madly in love. Then there is the story of a male vampire who has done unspeakable evils as a vampire and is eternally brooding and even though he can't help what he is, he tries to be the good, kind hearted lover for his human female. Or better yet, the female finds out her lover is a vampire and begs and pleads to be turned to live eternally young and thus tries everything in her power to become a vampire but the male vampire refuses to turn her so that she does not live a cursed life. After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame.
