Olivia Foster is a dancer with diagnosed anxiety, everyday is a battle and the one thing that makes her feel normal is dance, specifically dance competitions. There she finds solace in her movements and a major crush on the top dancer, Alexandra May. "Alright then," I said placing my book down, trying to ignore my beating heart and burning cheeks. "Kiss me." "Feeling confident are we?" Alexandra grinned, "alright then." She leaned close to my face and I screwed my eyes shut, my heart pounding in my ears. I felt her breath fan my face and felt her lips barely brushed against my cheek. I opened my eyes. "I thought you were going to kiss my lips," I breathed, I then quickly covered my mouth as Alexandra chuckled. "Do you want me to?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "Yes - I mean no, but yes?" I rambled, Alexandra smirked. "Don't worry, I'll spare you my sexiness for today." TRIGGER WARNING: This story will contain panic attacks and the like, so be warned before reading this.

They didn't speak. Didn't count steps. They just... moved. Her hand on Aleah's waist. Aleah's fingers brushing her wrist. One step forward. Two back. Turn. There was no rhythm but them. No choreography but instinct. No noise except the beat of Niki's heart and the slow, sure way Aleah never looked away. At the end, they didn't stop moving. They just slowed. Held on. And didn't let go.... When a salsa class throws two stubborn women into each other's rhythm, the sparks fly, the friends meddle, and the footwork gets a whole lot more complicated. A queer romantic slow-burn full of witty banter, found family, accidental eye contact, and the kind of tension you can't dance your way out of. Author's Note: The story is mainly in Niki's POV, but changes in between as per the story requirement.
