Everything in this world is built on a Hierarchy Called the Pyramis. Consisting of different levels, depending on blood, and specie.
Hirudo, the blood sucker, lupus, the werewolves, messor, the reapers of death, daemons, the familiars, and volgus, or the humans. Simon Blackwell, a Hirudo of the second highest level, a former criminal who almost brought the demise of Pyramis, now has limited powers. Ariadne Grace is one of the special type of volgus, one in a billion, truly, that has the power to release Simon from his chains and has the ability to imitate the powers of each specie.
