"Bite me," she spoke, laughing heartily. "I dare you."
That was all it took. She thought he was messing around with her. That he was joking. How wrong she was. The man who stood in front of her had kidnapped her and now he was trying to confuse her as well. She thought he was playing a game and she didn't want any part of it. She had no idea that what this man was saying in his thick russian accent was true, that it was possible he wasn't joking.
She had always been someone that people noticed, her bright orange hair a dead giveaway, but aside from that her tall lanky appearance brought her into the spotlight, in a bad way. Her only friend had been by her side since preschool. Until he too abandoned her in her time of need.
He stalked away angrily as she stood, unsure of what to do. Her chest physically hurt, her heart pounding faster than it ever had.
Before anyone could say anything she was running out of the courtyard and into the streets.
When she slowed to a stop she didn't recognize the area of town she was in. She had run without a thought in her head that wasn't Kaden.
It was at this point in time, when she saw what she had thought was an attractive man walking towards her, that she wished she hadn't left the school.
Without a word, the man grabbed her by her shoulders and threw her against the cement wall behind her. The hit to her head was all it took for the blood to spray and her vision to blur.
His eyes appeared to have turned a shade darker, now looking back i realized the had indeed gotten darker, stormier. He had started rambling about blood and hunger and uncontrolled thirst with a russian accent when she couldn't help it. Feeling it coming up her throat, she tried so hard to hold back, unable to. A laugh bubbled its way out of her throat.
The man looked at her as though she was crazy.
"Bite me," she spoke, laughing heartily. "I dare you."
