The two learn more about each other and inspire the other in their art projects. But hidden behind the paint on the canvas was the gang culture that Jay was apart of. As the two learn more about each other, the danger of being together and developing feelings for one another sparks conflicts and conversations. As Jay risks his life to get out of the gang life, JR is by his side even though he could possibly die with him.
