But when Eiji Okumura, an innocent exchange student, stumbles into his walk of life, things become messy. Old foes formulate new plans and conspire against the world, and Ash struggles to choose between the life he has, and the life he wants. This is based off of canon Banana Fish, so some events occur as they do in the anime. However, as most things diverge from the original, a butterfly effect takes place. Eiji is torn apart by the news of Ash's death. He locks himself away and begins to slowly fade away. When he finds out Ash is still alive he couldn't be happier. But now, after so long, after almost letting it all go every morning and night, how was he supposed to pick himself back up and just forget? He's been just as gone as Ash was. We all know how sad the ending of banana fish is. But, there are some clues that indicate ash is still alive. And so, I'm writing the story of how he wakes up in the library, fakes his own death, and goes to Japan. Through a journey to find eiji and confess his love, they will get the happy ever after we all wished for them to have.THIS PLAY AFTER THE ANIME. . IT CONTAINS SPOILERS. If you haven't watched the anime you can still read it but it does spoil the ending of it slightly.
