Pilgrimage fanfiction (Brendan Muldowney, 2017)

On his way to bring a holy relic to Rome, Diarmuid, a young irish monk discovers for the first time the world outside of his monasterial community. Forced to share his journey with ruthless men, he encounters a desperate girl raped from her home.  Torn between his duty to the Church and his disappointment in mankind, he must reach deep down to find his way.
