Yasmina woont bij haar oma nadat ze haar ouders en broertje is verloren in een tragishe ongeval. Zij was de enige overlevende van het gezin. Yasmina kan het verlies moeilijk verwerken en moet nu haar leven leiden tussen de psygiaters die alleen maar zeggen dat het beter zal worden. Na drie maanden tussen de psychiaters gaat het geen stukje beter volgens haar oma. Haar oma beslist haar te sturen naar het roses instituut. Roses instituut is een instituut voor jongeren met een moeilijk verleden of psychishe problemen. Maar door rare en onverklaarbare geheimzinnige dingen, is roses ver van een normaal.

Madeline found the note in her locker. Neatly folded, it held a pair of razor blades and a set of instructions. "Just die, ugly girl. No one will miss you." She doesn't know who gave it to her.
