But Agnes must also face the burdens of keeping her status a secret, even from her human lover. Martha is the daughter of the notorious witch-slayer, Edmund Langley. Still carrying the hardships from the loss of her mother, she must face the consequences of her actions and opinions alone. Martha doesn't trust the witches, and has grown up to believe in their irrevocable evil. But she holds suspicions that they may not be as malevolent as first thought, especially when an anonymous witch girl is acting as her guardian angel. After voicing her thoughts to her farther, she has been sentenced to confinement in her father's castle, where she discovers there is more to her blood-line then she first thought.
